The Process

At SII the final released print is the culmination of months of work. First, our staff of sports experts, led personally by Mr. Arnberg, decides on memorable moments and images that sports fans and collectors dream of. They then exhaustively search photo archives for rare and famous images of the moment or place that we are looking to portray in a KINETIC IMAGE (tm) albeit a flip one image to another, or motion. We can use as may as 16 images to create one kinetic print, making this medium and exceptional value.

Once the images are located, the best example of the images are purchased and then goes through extensive restoration in preparation for making it 3D. Our photo editors use the latest technology to go into each image and remove imperfections such as dust and dirt that might be on old negatives and correct color and tone. We take images that have been printed and used before and give them new life with higher definition, focus, contrast and color.

The next step is called interlacing; interlacing is merging together images into one lenticular print. For example we have a piece in which the original Yankee stadium is merged with the current stadium so that when you walk past it the stadium morphs from old to new. This patented process takes the images and slices them together into fine strips that will line up with the lenticular lens that will be applied. The lens is actually an optical lens made up of up to 300 lenses per inch. These fine lenses and high quality images meet to create a high definition photo image, with a quality never before available to the sports fan and collector.

Our art background guides us in creating final images that are true to the moment and merged in a way that enhances viewing. We put as much time into mastering each print as we do the fine art that Meisner Gallery sells. We are looking to create mini masterpieces that the collector and fan will be proud to own. The final print is a UV stable masterwork that will last more than a lifetime. Take this print and add on one of our hand made (in the USA) real wood frames with a beautiful matte and you have a sports collectible that is a work of art.
